Thanks to a combination of low-tech and GPS tracker, a homeless man last living in San Jose was arrested on suspicion of robbing a bank in Santa Clara.

Lt. Phil Cooke said today that Garry Lee Damon, 47, was arrested Tuesday in connection with a robbery the day before at Citibank on El Camino Real. Police did not disclose how much they suspect he made off with.

Police shared the bank surveillance photo of the suspect with a parole agent who recognized Damon as one of his parolees, Cooke said. The Megan's Law database shows Damon was convicted of assault with intent to GPS tracker, sodomy or Hair extensions oral copulation.
